Elise LeBlanc

Élise LeBlanc (They/She) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and poetic storyteller who blends classic country, folk, Appalachian roots, and western swing.

 

Based in Victoria, British Columbia, LeBlanc channels a vintage Americana sound to explore themes of queer desire, resilience, and folk tradition. LeBlanc’s vocals feature a rich, expressive vibrato and a gentle twang, earning them comparisons to classic crooners like Patsy Cline and Hank Williams.

 

Produced by Leeroy Stagger, their breakthrough album "The Fiddle & The Fire" was named one of Bandcamp's top 10 country records and earned praise from Country Queer and CBC Radio.

Their anticipated third record "Lavender Honey" further expand their footprint in Americana and honky-tonk.

 

Backed by Music BC and FACTOR, LeBlanc has toured extensively across North America and the UK. They are a frequent presence at prominent festivals, including showcases at Folk Alliance International and Folk Music Ontario, as well as the Filberg, Victoria Folk, and Mission Folk Music Festivals. Locally, LeBlanc builds community by hosting Honky Tonk Tuesdays, a popular two-step dance and live music night in Victoria.
